Children picking up our bones
Will never know that these were once
As quick as foxes on the hill

Cherry Blossoms, Cherry Blossoms

Posted by Bijay

Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms,
Blanketing the countryside,
As far as you can see.
Is it a mist, or clouds?
Fragrant in the morning sun.
Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms,
Flowers in full bloom.

Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms,
Across the Spring sky,
As far as you can see.
Is it a mist, or clouds?
Fragrant in the air.
Come now, come,
Let's look, at last!

Can you be a sunbeam,
A sunbeam, a sunbeam?
Can you be a sunbeam?
Then show me what you'd do.

I can be a sunbeam,
A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
I can be a sunbeam,
And I'll shine down on you!

Cackle, cackle, Mother Goose,

Have you any feathers loose?

Truly have I, pretty fellow,

Half enough to fill a pillow.

Here are quills, take one or two,

And down to make a bed for you.

Cabin In The Woods

Posted by Bijay

Little cabin in the woods (draw a cabin in the air with your fingers)
Little man by the window stood (put hand over eyes, like looking for something)
Saw a rabbit hopping by (make a rabbit with hands)
Knocking at the door (knock with fist)
"Help me! Help me, Sir!" He said (wave hands like you're scared)
"Or the hunter will shoot me dead" (make gun with hand)
Come little rabbit, come inside (motion with hand)
Safely to abide (pet the rabbit)

Buttons! Buttons a farthing a pair!
Come, who will buy them of me?

They're round and sound and pretty,
And fit for the girls of the city.

Come, who will buy them of me?

Buttercup Poppy Forget-me-not

Posted by Bijay

Buttercup, Poppy, Forget-me-not--
These three bloomed in a garden spot;
And once, all merry with song and play,
A little one heard three voices say:
"Shine and shadow, summer and spring,
O thou child with the tangled hair
And laughing eyes! we three shall bring
Each an offering passing fair."
The little one did not understand,
But they bent and kissed the dimpled hand.

Buttercup gambolled all day long,
Sharing the little one's mirth and song;
Then, stealing along on misty gleams,
Poppy came bearing the sweetest dreams.
Playing and dreaming--and that was all
Till once a sleeper would not awake:
Kissing the little face under the pall,
We thought of the words the third flower spake;
And we found betimes in a hallowed spot
The solace and peace of Forget-me-not.

Buttercup shareth the joy of day,
Glinting with gold the hours of play;
Bringeth the Poppy sweet repose,
When the hands would fold and the eyes would close;
And after it all--the play and the sleep
Of a little life--what cometh then?
To the hearts that ache and the eyes that weep
A new flower bringeth God's peace again.
Each one serveth its tender lot--
Buttercup, Poppy, Forget-me-not.

Bringing In The Hay

Posted by Bijay

Hear the merry laugh of children,
Hear the chestnut horses neigh!
See the mice all scurry,
See the farmers hurry,
When it's time for
Bringing in the hay!

Good smells coming from the kitchen,
We'll get lots of treats today!
Cattle are a-mooing
Pigeons are a-cooing,
As they watch us
Bringing in the hay!

Pitchforks shining in the sunlight,
As the farmers work all day,
They were early starting,
And they won't be parting,
'Til we finish
Bringing in the hay.

Bring Your Kites!

Posted by Bijay

Bring your kites, it's time to play,
For the wind blows strong today!
Far above the trees they'll fly,
Far above the houses high.
Now they're ready, up they go!
While we tug the string below.

Bring Back Your Sheep

Posted by Bijay

I'll introduce--just wait awhile--
A charming maiden by yon stile.
"Ho! pass this way," aloud we'll mock,
"Shepherdess, lead back your flock;
Lead back, lead back, as you are told,
Your pretty sheep within the fold."

Bread And Milk

Posted by Bijay

Oh, whether in a mug
Or a little china jug,
There's nothing in the world so nice as milk:
When you've got an appetite
It makes your eyes so bright
And little cheeks as soft as any silk!

I've heard it also said,
Nothing's half so good as bread,
If hungry you should ever chance to be;
The miller grinds the corn,
And the baker every morn
Bakes crusty loaves to sell to you and me!

And if you ever wish
For a lovely kind of dish,
To set before me on the breakfast-table,
A basin and a spoon
Some bread-and -milk, and soon
I'll eat it up as fast as I am able!

Boy And A Girl In A Little Canoe

Posted by Bijay

There was a boy and a girl in a little canoe
And the moon was shining all around
They talked and they talked till the moon went in
And he said you better kiss me or get out and swim
So you know what to do in a little canoe
When the moon is shining all a,
The moon is shining all a,
The moon is shining all around
Get out and swim!
What the heck stay and neck for an hour or two
When the moon is shining all a,
The moon is shining all a,
The moon is shining all around

Bouncie Bouncie Ball-ie

Posted by Bijay

Bouncie bouncie ballie,
Thribbledy-obbledy oop-sy day;
Bouncie bouncie ballie,
This is the way I play!
I'm smart, so smart;
'Cause I knew just how to do it from the start.
It's spring that counts;
When Daddy gets home I'll teach him how to
Bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce...
Bouncie bouncie ballie,
Thribbledy-obbledy oop-sy day;
Bouncie bouncie ballie,
This is the way I play!

Born Free

Posted by Bijay

Born free, as free as the wind blows;
As free as the grass grows
Born free, to follow your heart.

Live free, and beauty surrounds you;
The world still astounds you
Each time you look at a star.

Stay free, where no walls divide you;
You're free as the roaring tide
So there's no need to hide.

Born free, and life is worth living,
But only worth living
'Cause you're born free.
